NVC men's soccer team drops second straight match to start season

The Napa Valley College men's soccer team lost its second straight match to start the season, falling at home, 3-0 to Modesto Junior College on Friday, August 29.

It was the Storm's second consecutive home match.

Napa Valley (0-2 overall) has scored one goal in two games so far.

Napa Valley, again playing a very difficult and challenging nonconference schedule, was behind at halftime, 2-0.

Alex Garcia scored an unassisted goal at the two-minute mark, giving Modesto an early 1-0 lead in the first half.

Modesto increased its lead to 2-0, getting a goal from Ociel Mora at the 45-minute mark of the first half. The assist went to Adrian Vivanco.

Mora scored an unassisted goal for Modesto (2-0-1 overall) in the 79th minute of the second half.

Napa Valley continues its nonconference season on Friday, Sept. 5 with a match at City College of San Francisco starting at 4 p.m.
